It’s nearly Christmas! How will you celebrate? Are you going abroad or having a cosy Christmas at home? Either way it is most likely expensive.
Many people are complaining about how expensive Christmas has gotten over the years. Not only is this caused by the amount and quality of presents people are influenced to buy but also by the cost of food and decorations.
Obviously, the prices go up every year around Christmas time because it is a quick and easy way for businesses to make money. However, this year have the prices increased too much?
Christmas is meant to be a time filled with happiness and love. But recently due to the rise in prices many people are feeling nervous about the future. Parents have an added stress due to wanting to please their children . Many think that a way to achieve this is too buy them the most expensive and biggest item. As a child, I was gifted bikes, the latest toys and more. Do I still have them now? No, but I do still have the memories. The memories of waking up on Christmas and waiting for my dad to get ready and have his cup of tea. The memory of eating breakfast and laughing with my family. So to all of the parents who are stressing about not being able to get their children the most expensive item, don’t stress. Your child will not remember what they got, but they will keep the loving memories.
