OUR failure to win at home is becoming a concern.
It's not a worry if we can win the replays after drawing cup matches but in the league it's a worry because we need to be picking more points up at home. Home form is what you rely on.
I thought we did everything right against Basingstoke in the FA Cup on Saturday. Although the first-half was pretty poor we got stuck in and scored the goal and created chances.
I'm not sure what it is. It wasn't a fear factor and we didn't sit back. We went for the throat and should have been two or three up.
While this run goes on it is a concern. The more you talk about it, the longer it seems to go on and the harder it is.
I don't think there was anything wrong with our performance on Saturday. I could be critical of the performances against Romulus and Hemel Hempstead in the second and third qualifying rounds but our performance against Basingstoke was decent.
We are disappointed that we didn't win the game because we played well in the second-half.
If we can perform like that at home we will win games. I have got no doubt that will change as the season goes on.
The crowd were excellent on Saturday. There were 1,128 - the second highest this season - and that's the sort of crowd we need. It's also good financially.
Graham Ward was making his debut on Saturday since joining us on a month's loan from Tamworth.
I thought he had a decent game at right wing-back and did a good job for us. He looked assured and was good on the ball.
I think he is adaptable. He can play in that position although it's not his natural position. He just gets on with the job and we have the option of using him in midfield as well.
We have also let Troy Wood and Gary Walker go out on loan to Gloucester City and Evesham United respectively.
Troy has had a little run in the team and Gary had a couple of substitute appearances. But they need to be playing at a higher level than reserve team standard.
It's all part of their progression and hopefully they will come back better players. It's just that next step for them.
They have long-term futures with the club and when they come back they will be straight in contention for a starting place.
