LOSING players through ill-discipline is a concern.
I don't think it's a major problem for us but it's something we could definitely do without.
Mark Danks' sending-off at Romulus on Monday was our fourth of the campaign after Des Lyttle (in pre-season), Craig Wilding (against Workington) and Adam Burley (against Vauxhall Motors).
Jock (Andy Morrison) was watching what was happening and although Mark did grab the player's shirt, it wasn't a sending-off offence.
Danksy got head-butted and poked in the eye. It takes some sort of mental toughness not to react in any way but the linesman has seen it as a sending-off offence.
It's Danksy's second sending-off. He deserved to get sent-off at Redditch in March but it's something we will look at. It doesn't help the team. We looked good with three up front in Craig Wilding, Abderrahman Traore and Danks. It's a big blow for us but it's self-inflicted.
Craig Wilding shouldn't have got sent-off at Workington, he didn't do anything and I think it's a case of mistaken identity.
There have been circumstances with those two but there's no excuse for Adam Burley, he deserved to go and it's something that we have talked about.
We talked about it before the game on Saturday because we knew it was a key thing.
We kept our discipline then and we did it for the majority of the game on Monday.
Adam Burley's red card was needless, getting sent-off for clapping the referee's decision. That's just petty.
Danks' could have been stopped but I have been there and it's very difficult if someone's head-butted you and poked you in the eye.
It's so tough but we have got to somehow be tough enough to walk away from it. Sometimes it's hard.
I don't want to make excuses and we have just got to find a way of dealing with it, it's as simple as that.
Getting Craig back and losing Mark straight away can only hurt us.
I am disappointed - the players have just got to try and walk away from it.
Meanwhile, Chris Smith injured his hand in the match on Saturday.
He said he didn't really feel it happen but he's just struggled and he had to go to A&E on Saturday so we will see how it is at training and get it sorted. Hopefully it isn't too bad, but I think it is broken.
