GOLFERS are being invited to take part in an event designed to help support young sportsmen in Worcester.
Worcester Colts Football Club have organised a golf day and everyone is welcome to take part and help raise cash for the youngsters’ teams.
The fund-raising event is being held at Ombersley Golf Club from 8.15am on December 9. It will involve an 18-hole round as well as a closest to the pin and longest drive competition.
Prizes will be given and each ticket costs £40 to include coffee and a bacon roll followed by a buffet lunch.
The Colts have teams in age groups eight to 12 which play in the Stourport or Mercian leagues. The club encourages development of players individually and as teams and their enjoyment in the sport.
Les Jenkins, chairman of the club, said: “This should be a great event which will raise money to be ploughed into the club and the boys’ futures in football.
“Everyone is welcome, no matter their handicap, and we hope for a successful day.”
Anyone interested in playing can call Jenkins on 07831-138224 or email les@mfhydraulics.co.uk For more information on the Worcester Colts, contact Steve Humphrys on 07775-601281 or visit worcestercolts.co.uk.
