HISTORY was written on Worcester Golf and Country Club’s finals day when two brothers won a trophy each in the junior section events.
Fifteen-year-old Josh Bryan, who plays off seven, lifted the George Medal when he beat Ben Blackmore 3&2.
Not to be outdone, nine-year-old brother Aaron, watched by proud father Richard, also won 3&2 against Bill Thomas to win the Terry Band Shield.
Elsewhere, Steve Howarth celebrated his 60th birthday by winning the Burrows Cup for recording the lowest nett score in the October medal.
Howarth recorded 78-14-64 to pip Bill Sheridan on count-back.
In the Francis Marrian Trophy, Phil Wilde hit back from four down to win on the first play-off hole against Alan Lane.
