WE WERE looking for six points out of six from our last two games -- that was our aim.
We deserved three, we could have got four and we got one, so I think we can feel a little hard done by.
But we are not going to moan and groan about it. We just hit two ends of the spectrum in the way we played.
We had a very poor performance against Farsley and an excellent performance against Redditch.
We were lethargic in the Farsley game, we didn't pass the ball and we didn't create opportunities.
We were just very lack-lustre and didn't really look up for the fight, whereas against Redditch we were winning a lot of 50-50s, moving the ball well and creating a lot of chances.
I thought it was a great performance and what we have got to do is keep going from there.
We are not going to play like that every week, you are going to have games where you're not at your best and you have to grind out results, but a few more of those at home and the home fans will start to believe it as well.
We certainly believe we have got a chance to do well but we know we have got to step up on Saturday's performance and perform more like we did on Monday.
You have to hold your hands up and say Redditch goalkeeper Richard Antiss was brilliant.
You have to just congratulate him on his performance, he was outstanding, some of the saves he pulled off were inspirational.
We have hit the bar and we have had a penalty, which we should have had, not given.
We played with a lot of passion and a lot of desire and gave the fans what they have been wanting. After being so down after Sat-urday's game, to lose two points in the last 20 seconds was a bit of a deflator but we are still on a high because of the way we played.
At least it's shown the crowd why we are in the top eight. That's why we are there, we are a decent side on our day.
It was a great atmosphere and a proper football match, local rivalry, both teams pumped up and ready to go and it was a great spectacle. I am just disappointed with the result.
All the back lads were superb against Redditch, Shabir Khan was outstanding. It was a big game and he came through it.
Elsewhere, Dennis Pearce has stepped up his training and then he will probably look to go full out in training tomorrow and then he will be back in contention.
We have released Jay Sztybel. We gave him some opportunities but it didn't quite work out. We asked him to play in an unfamiliar position. He did well at Barrow but seemed to lose his way a bit.
