WORCESTER-born defender Nathan Baker (right) has signed a new three-year deal with Aston Villa.
The 20-year-old, who made his Premier League debut last season, will remain at Villa Park until 2014.
Although only making four first-team appearances, Baker, who can play left-back or centre-half, is highly regarded and won an Eng-land U21 cap last season.
He is now looking to make an impact in the 2011/12 campaign and impress whoever succeeds Gerard Houl-lier as manager.
The former Christopher Whitehead Language College student said: “I managed to get first-team experience in the season just gone and plan on working hard in pre-season when it comes.”
Baker made his Villa debut in a 2-1 win at Wigan in Jan-uary but was sent off against Blackburn in the FA Cup in his next outing.
He also played against Rovers and Bolton in the Premier League.
