Worcester City are set to implement new schemes in a bid to attract more fans to St George’s Lane.

The Blue Square Bet North club are keen to increase their attendances and are looking at ways of engaging with both existing and new supporters.

Directors are currently discussing the introduction of a family ticket for the 2011/12 campaign, while the club’s website has been updated to include a page giving information to first-time visitors.

The club have acted following a talk given at the club by customer services expert Mark Bradley, founder of the Football League’s family excellence awards.

City have made huge strides in the community recently following the partnership with junior club Nunnery Wood Colts and school visits to the ground.

A statement said: “Mark’s visit was incredibly informative and gave plenty of food for thought as well as examples of good practice that we should aim to follow at St George’s Lane.

“Over the coming months we want to look at how to sell Worcester City Football Club to the residents of Worcester and beyond.

“We will also be looking at how we develop the whole match-day experience to en-courage first-time visitors to continue to come along to St George’s Lane.

“Mark’s visit and recollection of experiences proved immensely valuable. It highlighted that Worcester City already do a number of positive things aimed at growing the football club.”

Meanwhile, City have ex-tended their early bird season ticket offer until the end of June.

Originally, fans could only buy cheaper tickets until next Monday but the club have decided to keep the window open.

It means adult supporters can pay £165 to stand at all of City’s 21 home Blue Square Bet North matches or £185 to sit in the main stand.

The concession rate, which includes students, over 60s and the unemployed, is £110 to stand and £130 to sit.

After Friday, July 1, those prices increase by £35 for adults in each category and £20 for concessions.

Under 16s pay £10 across the board until July 1 and £40 afterwards.
