WORCESTER Bowls Club secured their place in the second round of the National Top Club competition.
They beat Brotherhood 5-0 and then narrowly defeated Gilt Edge 3-2 on the final bowl of the last end in the fours.
After losing the two and four wood singles, the new pairing of Rob Stanley and Mark Atkins enjoyed a convincing victory.
Their opponents conceded after 11 ends with the Worcester pair leading 24-2.
After taking an early lead, the Worcester triple were one shot behind with an end left but picked up two shots to gain victory.
In a close game, the Worcester rink were all square after 20 ends and two shots down when Andy Wills played the shot of the day to gain a winning victory.
