HEREFORD United manager Jamie Pitman is hoping to seal deals for winger Rob Purdie and defender Joe Heath over the coming days.
The Bulls chief has offered new contracts to both players as he looks to build his team for the new npower League Two campaign.
Purdie, who rejoined the club following his exit from Oldham Athletic, featured heavily for Pitman’s side as they pulled off their great escape.
Heath, who has been released by Exeter City, made 30 appearances for Hereford on loan as cover for the injured full-back Ryan Valentine.
Pitman said: “I’m still talking to Purdie, hopefully we can come to some agreement in the next week or so.
“Joe Heath is just looking over his deal and hopefully he’ll be signing in the next few days, by the end of the week.
“So that's another two more to what we’ve got and then we’re hoping we can get four or five more in to just boost that up.”
Meanwhile, former Hereford striker Mathieu Manset is hoping to go from the foot of the Football League to the Premier League in the space of just one season.
His new club Reading face Swansea City in the npower Championship play-off final at Wembley on Monday.
