A RESURGENT Terry Jenkins reached finals in successive days at the Players’ Championship only to lose both.
The Bull earned £3,000 on the first day in Crawley, losing 6-3 to Gary Anderson in the final which was his best display in the events since Holland last September.
He defeated Premier League rival Simon Whitlock 6-3 in the semi-finals, as well as seeing off in-form Wes Newton in the last eight.
On the second day, Ledbury’s Jenkins, who missed out on the 888.com Premier League play-offs, took away another £3,000 after losing 6-3 to Paul Nicholson in the final.
Having defeated Andy Jenkins and Holland’s Co Stompe 6-2 in his opening two games, he overcame Darren Johnson 6-3 and Mark Webster 6-5 in the quarter-finals.
Jenkins beat Scott Rand 6-4 in a tight semi but paid for missed doubles in the final.
