WORCESTERSHIRE Royals will be looking to pick up their second victory in the Clydesdale Bank 40 against Yorkshire Carnegie at New Road tomorrow (1.45pm).
Having suffered a six-wicket defeat at Lord’s on Tuesday night with a young and inexperienced side, director of cricket Steve Rhodes is likely to have at least two of his veterans back.
Opener Vikram Solanki is set to return after missing the Middlesex loss with mild concussion, while all-rounder Damien Wright may also be in line to return.
Adrian Shankar, who made his debut in that game at Lord’s, is sidelined after injuring his knee in the warm-up on the third morning of the County’s LV= County Championship Division One match with Durham.
The New Road side will also be without captain Daryl Mitchell with a torn intercostal muscle, but the 27-year-old has stepped up his recovery after having a net session yesterday morning.
Worcestershire (from): Moeen (capt), Solanki, Kervezee, Pinner, Cameron, Kapil, Andrew, Scott (wkt), Choudhry, Wright, Shantry, Whelan.
