DROITWICH Spa secured an impressive winning draw against Pedmore in a rain-affected match to continue their good start to the Division One season.
Jerome Connor again won the toss and asked the hosts to bat.
Mike Rogers removed James Burgoyne with his second delivery. Matt Biggs then took two wickets to reduce Pedmore to 35-3.
Paul Pickering (66) helped the visitors to 150-5 before Nitin Malhotra hit a quick-fire 53 as the visitors reached 242 all out from 47 overs.
Martyn Davies and skipper Connor were bowled in the first over by Dave Skelding and Ian Cottrill soon followed to leave Spa on 7-3.
However, some fine play from Max Young (48 not out) and Neil Wright (73no) helped Spa deservedly reach the winning draw total of 137.
n Colwall defeated Worcester Dominies by 13 runs in Division Two.
Dominies skipper Matt Williams put the home side in and they struggled on a slow wicket.
However, Colwall managed to reach 232-8 off their 50 overs with Tom Coleman making 59 and Odge Davey 52.
Chris Jones made 57 in Dominies’ reply but, at 186-6, Australian Alex Frick, celebrating his 19th birthday, re-entered the attack.
He destroyed the challenge by taking four wickets for seven runs in 3.2 overs.
