AFTER two defeats on the road, Bransford seniors returned to their home course and winning ways with a 5½-1½ victory over Little Lakes.

The inaugural winners of the senior section’s new BOAT Trophy greensomes pairs event were Roger Clark and Graham Wilks who scored 45 points.

Prominent members Bill Bowen and Trevor Atkinson have helped introduce the new competition, which takes its name from the first two letters of their surnames.

The duo were four ahead of Richard Steele and Clarice Knowles, who held off the challenge of Rob and Pauline Wetton courtesy of a better back-nine score.

Ivor Lloyd and John Phillips, Mike Abbott and Eddie McLaughlin and organisers Bowen and Atkinson all finished on 40 points.
