AROUND 350 people helped Leigh and Bransford Badgers Football Club celebrate their 10th anniversary.
The junior football club held their presentation and fun day at Worcester City’s St George’s Lane ground.
Featuring matches at various age levels as well as a barbecue and raffle, it is hoped the event will have raised a four-figure sum.
Among the presentations were special service awards for Nick and Chris Medakovic, Jack Coleman and Ollie Harcombe, who have been with the club since they were formed in 2001.
In addition, treasurer Neil Coleman and senior coach Bosko Medakovic were recognised as founders of the club.
Chairman Pat Lewis said: “Our youngsters were delighted to be able to come out of the changing rooms, walk down the tunnel and play on City’s pitch in front of their supportive parents and guests.
“To have their names announced over the tannoy as they walked up into the main stand to collect their commemorative medals put a wonderful finishing touch on a great experience that many of them have never had before.
“We would also like to say a huge thank you to Worcester chairman Anthony Hampson for allowing our club to celebrate our anniversary at St George’s Lane.”
After starting out with just 12 youngsters, the FA Charter Standard community club has grown to boast a membership of around 180.
