7 Pennell: Solid under the high ball, but looked a little rusty in open play on his return to the side following a rib injury.
7 Garvey: Some hefty hits on men much bigger than himself and made good yards coming into first-receiver.
7 Crockett: Didn’t give his side a lot of go-forward, but was rock solid in defence against dangerous backs.
7 Rasmussen: Marshalled Warriors’ defensive effort superbly to make sure no tries were conceded.
8 Benjamin: Ran powerfully at the heart of the Pirates’ defence throughout and showed real strength for his try.
8 Goode: Ensured Warriors maintained a decent lead to take back home and had a good eye for the gap to score.
9 Arr: Ex-England scrum-half Richard Hill lavished praise on the current Warriors number nine after a fine display.
8 A Black: Fronted up well and was a big part of a Worcester pack that dominated throughout the first-half.
7 Fortey: The veteran hooker, given the nod over Aleki Lutui, was a key part of a powerful Warriors front row.
7 Taumoepeau: Scrummaged as well as he always does and won several important penalties in the set-pieces.
8 Rawlinson: The big former All Black was a key figure and carried over the gain-line every time he got the ball.
7 Gillies: Imperious in the line-out as he has been for years to hand Warriors a steady stream of possession.
6 Best: Hauled off and replaced by Adam Balding after picking up a yellow card when the team needed his influence.
7 Abbott: Came into the side for Matt Kvesic and offered lots of effort, if not the impact he’s had in recent weeks.
7 Horstmann: Another big ball-carrier for Warriors, the number eight was the go-to man to make the hard yards.
REPLACEMENTS: Lutui (Fortey 56) 7, Douglas (Taumoepeau 63) 6, Kitchener (Rawlinson 63) 6, Balding (Best 73) 6, Carlisle (Goode 79) 6, Grove (Crockett 59) 7. Not used: Frost.
MAN OF THE MATCH: Jonny Arr — The academy-produced scrum-half couldn’t ask for a better man to learn from than Richard Hill and he has come on in leaps and bounds this season. Developing into a top-class player.
