JACK Byrne and Nick Wright will stay at Kidderminster Harriers after the club triggered one-year extension clauses in their contracts.

Midfielder Byrne impressed manager Steve Burr after scoring seven goals in 37 appearances this season and has agreed to his third full term at Aggborough.

But the 21-year-old former Redditch midfielder is banned for the first four games of the new campaign after three red cards this season.

England ‘C’ striker Wright, 23, with eight goals from 39 games this season, has earned another year following his arrival from Tamworth.

Ten-goal winger Matty Blair has been offered a new deal but may attract interest from elsewhere after an eye-catching first season with Harriers.

However, after putting a new contract on the table, the club could claim a fee if Blair left as he is under 24.

Byrne and Wright take the number of players signed up for the 2011/12 campaign to 11.

Meanwhile, mdfielder Tyler Weir, 20, has agreed to stay at Hereford United for another season.

Captain Michael Townsend will be banned for the first two games of next term after being sent off in the season finale at Macclesfield.
