BARNARDS Green are relishing their first and one of the longest Birmingham League Division Three away trips to Oswestry on Saturday after opening the season in style.
Last season’s Worcestershire League Division One champions stormed to a 148-run win over Studley, dismissing their visitors for just 90.
Phil Harris’ 103 not out set up the crushing, ably supported by the bowling of Matt McEwan (6-26).
Overnight rain reduced the match to 43 overs per side and Green scored 238-7 after being asked to bat first.
