LEWIS Keen, from Droitwich’s Gaudet Luce Golf Club, won the inaugural event of the Phoenix Junior Golf Tour.
The youngster won the elite category with a net score of 27.
Keen, who has been a member of the Russell Adams Golf Academy for the last three years, has come through the ranks and is now part of the Worcestershire County Academy.
Adams, who also runs the Phoenix Tour, said: “Lewis has really impressed me with his attitude and commitment throughout his coaching program and deserves this first tour win.”
The tour was set up this year by Adams and Stephan Edge, who’s son plays on the English Junior Golf Tour. Adams added: “The idea was for junior golfers in Worcestershire to compete in a golf tour that will be held at different locations and have an order of merit like the European tour.
“Our website shows where they are during the season and gives them a feel of playing on tour like their heroes.
“The tour is open to all ages and abilities with different categories for ages and ability levels.”
The Phoenix Tour rolls onto Sapey Golf Club on June 3 for the second event of the season.
It is open to all juniors and interested players can contact Adams on info@phoenix juniorgolftour.co.uk
