WORCESTER City manager Carl Heeley is planning to make changes as his team bid to reach the Worcestershire FA Senior Cup final tonight.

City, 2-0 winners against Boston United at the weekend, head to Zamaretto Lea-gue Premier Division strugglers Halesowen Town for a semi-final clash (7.45pm).

The St George’s Lane club, who knocked out Kidderminster Harriers in the previous round, insist they are taking the competition seriously but are mindful of a busy fixture schedule.

Attacking midfielder Simon Richman, back after a one-game ban, and striker Marc McGregor are both in line to start at The Grove. However, Tom Evans has tonsillitis, while fellow defender Rob Elvins is doubtful with a calf injury sustained against the Pilgrims.

Midfield duo Kevin O’Con-nor and Gary Walker (both hamstring) will be assessed but keeper Dean Coleman is available following his weekend red card. The former Yeltz player’s one-game suspension does not start until the league trip to Nuneaton Town on Saturday week.

Heeley said: “I won’t go too mad and rip the team apart but there’s a chance that I might start Marc to try and get some more minutes under his belt.

“We will try and freshen it up a little bit because we have got games on Saturday and next Monday.”

Second-from-bottom Halesowen were hammered 8-0 by Evesham United at The Grove on Saturday.

But Heeley is not taking anything for granted as City look to follow up the Boston victory with another success.

The City boss added: “We are looking to win back-to-back games and go on another run and Saturday was the start to that.

“The fact Halesowen got thumped on Saturday doesn’t have a bearing on tonight. It can go two ways, they will either be looking for a re-sponse or they will cave in.

“But it’s all about us. I want the team to compete like we did on Saturday and, if we do, we will be fine.”
