ST George’s Dragons are catching up with their backlog of fixtures in Worcester Table Tennis League Division One but remain second-from-bottom.
They found Dukes Way Dynamos’ Dave White and John Phillips in unbeaten form in the singles.
A good win for Geoff Woodward and Shafaz Ditta over Dave and Matt White in the doubles helped earn Dragons a point from a 7-3 defeat.
In a 9-1 loss to Hartlebury Wanderers, Dragons fielded only two players as Will Pritchard and Simon Webb won all on offer.
But Dragons claimed a vital 6-4 win at Cripplegate Guild with Woodward (3) and Ditta (2) winning and combining for the doubles.
Guild also suffered a narrow loss by the same scoreline against Dynamos with Dave White again unbeaten.
The two top teams won with St George’s comfortably beating Jorokelyja 9-1, while Rainbow had to work harder to defeat Hartlebury Wanderers 7-3 with Pete Griffiths unbeaten.
In Division Two, YMCA Kites crashed 10-0 to Broadheath Belters but held leaders Himbleton ‘A’ to a 5-5 draw.
The villagers’ John Rowe won three singles with Ray Rennison adding two but Kites’ McKenna hit back with a brace and partnered Chris Field to take the doubles.
Adam Throssell impressed as Himbleton ‘C’ beat The Spinstars 8-2.
In Division Three, YMCA Enigma saw off T4 8-2.
