WORCESTER firsts have a fixture headache after their ENER-G Midlands One clash at Nottingham University was postponed.

The game was called off because of a frozen pitch 10 minutes before the team were due to head north, despite other matches in the area being on according to Worcester.

Now the frustrated title-chasers are set for a weekend double-header with Mansfield and the students on February 12 and 13.

But Worcester hope to find an alternative solution as they will be missing at least four players because the dates clash with the club’s under 18s cup match at Plymouth.

Firsts manager Pete Pedrick said: “We don’t want to be seen as whingers but it gives us a big problem.

“We want an opportunity to resolve this that isn’t to the detriment of our chances in the league or the under 18s.”

Meanwhile, the seconds beat King’s Heath Pickwick 4-1 in the West Midlands Premier Division with Richard Stocks, Mark Carey, Matt Hooper and Ross Hodson on target for the promotion hopefuls.

Bradley repeated the feat from an Owen Taylor effort before Christian Holden and Judd Doughty added second-half strikes.

Heath scored two late goals to test Worcester’s nerves.

The sevenths won 2-0 at Olton and West Warwick fifths in Division Two with George Chakko-George and Nat Garfield finding the net.

The hosts started well but Tenbury buried a powerful strike from a short corner.

Worcester tried to hit back through the creative Kat Classen but Tenbury scored twice more, despite the efforts of keeper Shannon Baker.

However, Libby Wycherley pulled a key goal back shortly before half-time and they responded in the second period after a direct team-talk.

Wycherley and Lucy Merrett completed the fightback.

The thirds commanded the game against their fourth team, winning 8-0 in Division Three.

The fourths worked tirelessly but Katy Chick buried a reverse-stick shot for the opener.

Another Chick goal made it 2-0 at the break before she added two more in the second-half.

Ben Cooke stunned Bournville with a superb strike from a short corner to give Worcester Badgers Potters a 1-0 home win.
