WITH Worcestershire Bowling Association reaching the climax of its season, England international Grant Burgess has secured his 21st county championship final in his 24th year of playing bowls in Worcestershire.
He beat club-mate Steve Parker 21-12 while the Worcester BC pairing of Richard Hall and Rob Dawson defeated Clive Crump and Philip Moule 26-16.
Hall and Dawson made steady progress throughout the game to hold off the late challenge from the Droitwich pairing by the 20th end, to take the Pairs Champion-ship.

Worcestershire travelled to Grantham to take on Lincolnshire in the final game of the 2006 Francis Burton Cup campaign.
Worcestershire managed to take 18 points out of the 22 on offer, capably led by Dean Hemming, who beat Paul Dent 39-11.
Mark Rainbow had a 10-shot victory over L Mills, 24-14 and Dawson got the better of A Bird 23-14, to secue Worcestershire 18 league points against Lincoln-shire's four.
Lincolnshire's only rink success's were through Ian Nicholson beating Maurice Pullin 37-4 and Martyn Dolby winning against Pete Davis 27-10. Worcestershire won by six shots.
