WE have looked at a few players in pre-season and they have had a few opportunities.
Adam Wooton has had the biggest opportunity with the first team but we have made a decision with Adam not to offer him anything at this time.
We are quite well covered in midfield. He did alright and he can play at this level, it's whether he's going to play in the first team with the budget we have got.
Adam has left us but it's something we will keep an eye on.
Tom Birch has had an injury (Achilles) which is a bit sore. He can't train or play.
We will also have a look at Shane Cartwright this week and hopefully take a decision on these two before the end of the week.
Jay Sztybel has done well and had opportunities with the first team squad. He's done well and we will be speaking to him this week.
I think we have improved as pre-season has gone on. Our form against Walsall was excellent and better than I could have hoped for. We were much the better team for much of the game against a team two leagues above us.
We opened them up with our passing and created a number of opportunities. There were players out there for Walsall who have played 300 or 400 league games.
Hopefully we can continue that against Sheffield United (tomorrow) and Kidderminster Harriers (Saturday).
Sheffield will be extremely tough but if we can keep it close that will be a positive.
The Kidderminster game should show us where we are going into the Barrow game.
We will be pretty strong against Bromyard (tonight) and give players as many minutes as possible and not make many changes.
We have still got two game to go and things can change. There's not an 11 in my head at the moment. There's still two or three places up for grabs.
It will still be quite a strong team we send there. Des Lyttle and Justin Thompson could be involved so it will be a strongish team.
We will probably put a reserve side in against Kettering in the Central Conference League Cup final next Tuesday.
James Coates is still injured and will be out for about a month. We are looking for cover for Danny McDonnell while James is out.
As long as Danny stays fit we should be ok but you never know.
