KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have made a double signing with Brian Smikle arriving from West Bromwich Albion and Scott Eaton agreeing professional terms.
Smikle has put pen to paper on a one-year contract after the pacey winger impressed while on trial at Aggborough.
A product of Albion's youth system, he signed a professional contract in the summer of 2005, having spent a short spell on loan at Hereford.
He spent the last few months of the 2005-06 campaign on loan at Halifax Town where he started five games.
Boss Mark Yates said: "He's a great lad with a great attitude and he's done well. He's something different to what we've got, he's got plenty of pace and can get into wide areas."
Smikle, 20, said: "The set-up here at Kidderminster is great and I'm really glad to sign."
Eaton was one of the stars of last season's youth team and has enjoyed a positive pre-season after being handed a trial.
The striker, who signed a one-year deal, scored 11 goals in 15 starts for the youth team.
He also bagged a goal in Harriers' 4-0 victory over Bromsgrove on Sunday.
Trialists Michael Briscoe and Ijah Anderson turned out for Harriers in their 2-0 defeat by Stourport Swifts at Walshes Meadow on Wednesday.
Andy Hodgetts and Lee Knight scored for the hosts.
Briscoe is a 23-year-old former Coventry and Macclesfield defender, while 30-year-old left-back Anderson has played for a number of clubs, including Brentford, Wycombe Wanderers and Swansea.
Harriers head to Halesowen Town tomorrow (3pm).
