SCORCHING Kidderminster Harriers continued their unbeaten pre-season form with a 4-0 win at local rivals Bromsgrove Rovers yesterday.
The two sides met in Conference encounters in the 1990s but now Rovers are looking for promotion from the Southern League Midlands Division.
Harriers have shown promising signs in their friendlies so far and boss Mark Yates faces something of a pleasant selection headache.
Two trialists, former youth teamer Scott Eaton and ex-West Brom ace Bob Taylor, were on target at the Victoria Ground.
Harriers again made a string of changes at half-time and former TNS player Martin Naylor was given his first run-out in the troublesome right-back position.
In the first period, former Brighton youngster Steve May -- who failed to win a deal at Hereford on trial -- played in the defensive role.
Assistant boss Neil Howarth nearly put Kidderminster ahead early on only for his bullet header to be blocked by some desperate defending.
Midfielder Jake Sedgemore opened the scoring on 15 minutes with a precise lob over the head of veteran 'keeper Chris Taylor.
Experienced striker Dean Sturridge went close on several occasions but could not find the net.
It was youngster Michael McGrath, on as a substitute, who again used his shooting boots with a second goal in as many games.
McGrath finished confidently just past the hour mark after breaking the offside trap.
Eaton buried a superb curling 20-yarder 10 minutes later and Taylor completed the scoring with a header from Jonny Harkness' cross.
Harriers: Bevan, May (Naylor 46), Harkness, Whitehead (Preece 46), Howarth (Creighton 46), Sedgemore (Fitzpatrick 46), Russell (Smikle 46), McClen (Penn 46), Sturridge (Eaton 46), Reynolds (Taylor 46), Blackwood (McGrath 46).
