FAILURE to beat Brackley Town last weekend leaves Roy Rencher's Stourport Swifts facing a do-or-die Southern League Division One West relegation shoot-out with Dunstable Town tomorrow (3pm).

Second-placed Brackley triumphed 2-0 at Walshes Meadow on Saturday, which means Rencher now faces a winner-takes-it-all decider with second-from-bottom Dunstable.

He had hoped his side would secure their place in the division before the final day of the season.

But Stourport's fate is still in their own hands because, as long as they avoid defeat, they will be playing in Division One West next season.

Manager Rencher is confident his side will be able to rise to the challenge tomorrow, but admits he will be devastated if Swifts falter at the final hurdle.

He said: "It will be a nervous game, but we will not be going there to defend.

"We will be positive and look to take the game to Dunstable. We are good enough to beat them and if we don't get at least a point I will be devastated.

"We've had a great run to get ourselves to where we are, but we only have ourselves to blame for being at the bottom of the table. We have been shooting ourselves in the foot week in, week out for the majority of this season."

Rencher has a full-strength side to select from after key centre-half Lee Knight agreed to have a cortisone injection to play through shin splints.

Goalkeeper Eric Pudaloff is set to return from a virus to replace youngster Tony Breedon.
