BROMSGROVE Rovers are looking to bring in three new players to the Victoria Ground — but need to ship three out first.
With the club in administration and money tight, manager John Snape’s assistant Darren Grocutt said it was difficult getting players in without going over the reduced budget.
The uncertainty surrounding the club is also putting off potential new signings, according to Grocutt.
He said Rovers are looking to bring in a centre-half, centre-forward and a right-sided player but three of the current squad might have to make way to release funds.
One player heading out of the exit door could be the versatile Jamie Hancox, whose loan move to Tipton may be made permanent.
Rovers’ Zamaretto League Division One Midlands game at Atherstone Town on Tuesday was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Grocutt said it was frustrating as they had wanted to put last Saturday’s 3-2 home loss to AFC Sudbury behind them.
Rovers, now six points behind fourth-from-bottom Beaconsfield SYCOB, are at home to high-flying Rothwell Town in the league on Saturday (3pm).
The Bones suffered a setback in their play-off chase last weekend with a 1-0 defeat at Marlow.
Bromsgrove winger Cameron Jones serves a one-match ban for five yellow cards in the Victoria Ground clash.
