WORCESTER Wolves has appointed former England head coach Paul James as their new boss.
Following the resignation of Chuck Evans last month in the midst of a race row that erupted after the Cheshire Jets match, the University of Worcester-based British Basketball League outfit have pulled off a massive coup in attracting James.
As a player he won several BBL championships, BBL Trophies and England caps, while as a coach, James was just as successful and coached his country at every level.
“The potential here is huge and I sincerely hope to bring success to the club before too long,” the new head coach said.
After the departure of Evans and the sacking of five players, James has to rebuild the squad in readiness for their return to action on January 3 at Sheffield Sharks after being allowed to postpone their matches until the new year.
“I can assure fans that the hard work of recruiting a team has started and I hope to start announcing players soon,” James added.
