MALVERN director of rugby Dave Robins has revealed he will step down from his role in two years time as his side gear up for a home National Three Midlands clash with Hereford tomorrow (2.15pm).
Robins has been in charge at Spring Lane since the start of the 1994/95 season, winning seven league titles, including promotion to Midlands One (now National Three Midlands) last year.
However, he has decided to call time on his spell at the helm at the end of the 2010/11 campaign.
Robins said: “I shall stay for the rest of this season and go for another year but the 2010/11 season will be my last.
“This club has been a major part of my life.
“It’s been a rollercoaster. I have some fantastic memories at Malvern.
“It needs a fresh look at things but I will remain at the club in a different capacity.
“It’s been a great time for me, I’ve had some brilliant times.”
