WORCESTER Wanderers — the last surviving North Midlands club in the RFU Intermediate Cup — have been drawn at home to Market Harborough from Leicestershire in the Midlands quarter-finals.
The Sixways side reached the last eight in the region by beating Aston Old Edwardians in the third round last month. The Midlands quarter-finals are due to be played on February 6.
This season, each of the four regions will produce a champion who will progress to the national semi-finals.
In the Senior Vase, Pershore face a trip to Burntwood in the Midlands region quarter-finals, also on February 6.
Evesham, the sole surviving North Midlands club in the Junior Vase, must also travel to Staffordshire club Rugeley in the fourth round of that competition, which is due to be played on January 2. Evesham’s progress in the Junior Vase means that they will have to find a new date for their North Midlands Vase quarter-final.
Evesham are due to host Tenbury Wells in the county competition.
North Midlands Vase quarter-finals draw: Evesham v Tenbury Wells, Yardley & Distritct v Cleobury Mortimer, Aldridge v Chaddesley Corbett, Dudley Wasps v Market Drayton. Ties due to be played on January 2.
