DEFENDER Zac Costello is set to make his debut for Evesham United in tonight’s Zamaretto League Premier Division match against Cambridge City (7.45).
Costello, on a month’s loan from Kidderminster Harriers, was due to play in Saturday’s 2-1 victory at Bedford Town but suffered a slight knee injury.
However, Robins manager Paul West is confident the youngster will be fit to start against the Lilywhites at St George’s Lane.
They will also be boosted by the return of left-back Jamie Hyde, midfielder Liam Woodley and defender Danny Hodnett after one-match bans.
But West is set to be without three through injury as they look to build on Saturday’s success when Danny Lennon and Steve Lutz scored late on.
Captain Lutz has an ankle problem, as does defender Steve Luckett, while midfielder Mark Hands is suffering with a shin injury.
Despite a poor run of luck with casualties, West is looking forward to the challenge of third-placed Cambridge.
He said: “Saturday was a big win for us and hopefully it will give us that bit of confidence against a team who are going to be up there looking to get promoted.”
Meanwhile, Westfields travel to Boldmere St Michaels in the Aspire Midland Alliance tonight (7.30).
The Hereford side maintained eighth place in the table with a deserved 1-1 weekend draw at Rocester.
Goalkeeper Jon Pugh and his defence took the honours with a superb second-half display. Phil Glover scored the Fields goal on 52 minutes.
Pegasus Juniors head to Fairford Town in the FTL Futbol Hellenic League Premier Division tonight.
