EVESHAM United continued their impressive away form in the Zamaretto League Premier Division when skipper Steve Lutz scored an all-important winner three minutes into stoppage time at Meadow Lane.
The odds were stacked against Evesham getting anything out of the game when Bedford’s leading scorer Ian Draycott fired the Eagles ahead with just 16 minutes remaining.
But the Robins, missing three regulars through suspension, came storming back to record their fourth victory on the road this season.
Nineteen-year-old striker Zac Costello was named on the Evesham bench beginning a month’s loan from Kidderminster Harriers.
The best of the chances fell Evesham’s way but Jermaine Clarke and Marcus Palmer should have done better in the first-half.
The second-half saw Evesham enjoying the greater possession, until Draycott finished off Craig Daniel’s cross to put the hosts the lead.
Bedford were content to defend in numbers, but had no answer to Danny Lennon’s stunning equaliser from 20 yards. Then, in a dramatic finale, with the final whistle about to blow, Lutz got on the end of Simon Fitter’s corner to fire home the winner.
