HEREFORD United manager John Tre-wick is pleased with the deals that he did on the final day of the emergency loan window this week.
The Bulls chief signed England Under 19 international midfielder Nathaniel Wedderburn on loan from Barclays Premier League side Stoke City for a month. Trewick also snapped up Jordon Mutch, an England Under 17 midfielder, for a month from Birmingham City.
Both players have been given permission by their parent clubs to feature for Hereford in both today’s FA Cup second round clash with League One high-fliers Colchester United and their Johnstone’s Paint Trophy sou- thern area semi-final with MK Dons.
“They both come with some pedigree, both from Premier League clubs,” Trewick said.
“We’ve got a big number of games coming up and it’s important for us to bring in some fresh faces. They’re both available for the FA Cup game, they’ll both be in the squad.”
Wedderburn, 18, played nine matches for Notts County on loan last season, but is yet to make his senior debut for the Potters.
Seventeen-year-old Mutch is highly rated at St Andrews and he became the Blues second youngest player to make his debut for the club, behind former England international Trevor Francis.
