THE seconds gave Worcester Wolves a lift when they recorded a double victory.
Wolves beat City of Portsmouth Smugglers 97-89 in the English Basketball Shield and West Anglia Fury 101-73 in Division Four.
The match with Division Three outfit Smugglers at the University of Worcester sprang into life in the second-half as Wolves survived 19 unanswered points from the visitors.
Eric Chesser hit a three-pointer to put the game into overtime. Albert Ziwa, who top-scored with 27 points, secured the victory with four free throws.
Luke Selvester added 19 points and Damian Cope 16.
With the win over Fury, Wolves climbed to second in the table.
