WARNDON Villages Sharks Under 12s recorded their 10th Stourport Youth League win on the trot with a thrilling 3-1 comeback success over Bewdley Town.
Kieran Burns went close early on for Sharks but keeper Harry Stanley pulled off a superb save before having no chance with a 25-yard volley.
But the hosts replied within a minute when Andrew Murphy swept home a fine Burns cross.
Stanley ensured Sharks were still level at the interval and they surged ahead nine minutes from time through Burns with Matt Sowden adding a third goal.
Nunnery Wood Tigers scored three goals in the first five minutes on their way to a 6-0 win over Ferndale Flyers.
Ben Harrington turned in a cross and then Will Henshall buried a free-kick into the far corner of the net.
Alfie Driskel showed composure to finish off Harrington’s pass and Josh Smallman capped a fine move to make it 4-0 at half-time.
Driskel completed his third hat-trick of the season in the second period.
UNDER 15s: Oldbury Park Tigers returned to winning ways with a 6-0 win at Burlish Olympic Youth.
Tigers went close on numerous occasions with good passing football in difficult conditions.
Gavin Murphy opened the scoring with a fine 25-yard strike before Tom Baker, Martin Welsby and Jonny Allen extended the lead to 4-0 at the break.
Steven Gourley and Baker added to the scoreline in the second period with defenders Ryan Gwilliam and Alex Stratford ensuring a clean sheet at the other end.
Lack-lustre Nunnery Wood Jaguars went down 3-2 at Kidderminster Lions Youth.
Lions were denied early on by a penalty save from keeper Adam Paintin but Jaguars’ reprieve was short-lived as the hosts scored twice and hit the bar.
Jaguars fought back with Zach Dunn’s curled finish from a Jack Finch pass and Jack Dicker’s smart drive but Lions scored a third goal in between to ensure success.
UNDER 14s: Northside Colts beat the wet weather to win 4-2 at Bewdley Town. They went ahead after just two minutes when Rhys Turberfield lobbed home from Matt Armstrong’s pass and Shaun Henley added a second in the first-half.
Colts extended their lead in the second period through Luke Williams from an Alex Thain assist.
Bewdley came back and scored twice, despite a player-of-the-match display from defender Guy Bellamy, while Armstrong added a fourth for the visitors.
UNDER NINES: Warndon Villages Rhinos stole the show with an impressive 2-0 win over Ferndale Youth.
Although Charlie Roberts impressed in the first-half, Harry Ewins kick-started the win by tapping in from a corner.
