WORCESTER Warriors academy trio Jake Abbott, David Askew and Ollie Grove have agreed dual-registration deals with Championship outfit Coventry.
The up-and-coming Sixways stars are still able to represent Warriors if needed but will also be available to the Butts Park Arena side’s director of rugby Phil Maynard, who was once head coach at Worcester.
England Sevens star Abbott has made four first-team appearances for Worcester this season.
Fellow back-rower Askew, 19, came on in the second-half of Coventry’s 20-13 British and Irish Cup defeat to Munster on Friday.
Scotland Under 20s squad member Grove, 19, the younger brother of Warriors and Scotland centre Alex, played one game on loan for Coventry last season and covers all the back positions.
Warriors boss Mike Ruddock is keen for his promising youngsters to spend time out on loan in the Championship to experience the intensity of competitive league action as opposed to ‘A’ team matches.
