IN-form Kidderminster Harriers want to continue sending out messages to the rest of the Blue Square Premier at Wrexham tonight (7.45).

Having beaten leaders Oxford United 3-1 at Aggborough 10 days ago, Mark Yates’ side followed that up on Saturday with a 2-0 win at high-flying Kettering Town.

With a trip to north Wales in the offing, Yates wants his charges to maintain their current form as they push towards the play-off places.

“The lads have raised their standards in the last couple of games and that is something we must maintain,” he said.

“The performances and results have been good and it is great they have come against higher-placed opposition but we can’t get carried away. On our day we know we can beat anyone. There isn’t a team we fear. But we have to keep respecting our opposition.”

The victory at Rockingham Road saw Matthew Barnes-Homer add to his goal tally, which now stands at nine, while defender Duane Courtney netted his first goal since joining in the summer.

The trip to the Racecourse is another tough ask for Harriers, as Dean Saunders’ side have only lost once in their last eight outings.

But victory for the Worcestershire team will see them complete the double, having beating Wrexham 2-0 at the end of September.

Yates has no injury concerns ahead of tonight’s clash with all his players reporting back for training yesterday unscathed.

With the loan window closing on Thursday evening, Yates said it is unlikely he will add any new faces.
