A DANNY Campbell brace helped fire Bromsgrove Rovers to a 3-1 home win over Beaconsfield SYCOB in Zamaretto League Division One Midlands.
Campbell seized upon a Danny Scheppel through-ball after just five minutes to open his side’s account.
Seven minutes later, former Worcester City defender Jemiah Richards made it two by heading home a Cameron Jones corner.
Ross Ahir pulled a goal back for the visitors, but Campbell secured the points with a third on 64 minutes.
Chris Cornes grabbed a late consolation goal for Stourport Swifts as they crashed to a 2-1 home defeat to Bury Town.
The Walshes Meadow side were 1-0 down at the break to a 25th-minute Sam Reed effort. Swifts keeper Jamie Moore was beaten on the hour by Nick Davey to make it 2-0.
Swifts defender Chris Duggan was sent off in the 70th minute for a professional foul before Cornes fired a 30-yard strike with eight minutes left.
Pegasus Juniors beat third-placed Witney United 2-1 in the FTL FUTBOL Hellenic League Premier Division. Two goals in five minutes during the first-half got the hosts off to a great start.
However, a late consolation goal with a minute of normal time remaining created four difficult minutes for Juniors as their opponents searched in vain for the equalising goal.
