A LAST-GASP Sam Kenny penalty gave relieved Nunnery Wood Jaguars Under 15s a 2-1 win at Burlish Olympic Youth.

A combination of fine keeping and woeful finishing nearly gave Burlish an unexpected draw in the Stourport Youth League clash.

Jaguars started brightly and went ahead on 10 minutes when a defender diverted home Ryan Upson’s touch from an Azaad Khan cross.

Following yet another missed chance, Burlish broke away to level from a rare opportunity.

Jaguars responded with good football in the second-half but left it late for Kenny to net after a foul on Upson.

Oldbury Park Tigers suffered their first league loss of the season, going down 4-3 at home to Pershore Town with another below-par second-half display.

Tigers went into the break two goals up through Martin Welsby and Josh Newbold.

Tigers made a basic error from the kick-off and gifted Pershore a goal but restored their advantage through Newbold.

But the visitors drew level with two goals and won the match in the dying seconds after Jordan Murton headed against the bar for Oldbury.

UNDER 12s: Warndon Villages Sharks bounced back from the previous week’s defeat to win 12-0 at Kidderminster Harriers FITC.

Debutant Jake Holmes netted a hat-trick, opening his account following a strong run down the left.

Andy Murphy added a second and Holmes doubled his tally after a good move started by Jack Rule.

Sharks scored their fourth just before half-time through Kieran Burns’ lob.

Despite a disappointing start to the second period, the goals flowed when Holmes completed his treble.

James Ridge added a brace, while Matt Sowden, Sam Langston and Jai Gilchrist netted further goals. Daniel Jenkins also capped his Sharks debut with a goal and Burns scored another.

High-flying Nunnery Wood Tigers squandered a series of opportunities in a surprise 3-2 home loss to Bewdley Town.

In a dominant first period, Will Henshall netted with a free-kick but there should have been more goals.

Bewdley equalised with their only real threat of the half and scored again at the interval following a defensive mix-up.

They added a third which left the Tigers stunned but battled back and Alfie Driskel scored a second past Bewdley’s impressive keeper on a frustrating afternoon.
