HEREFORD United manager John Trewick believes it is only a matter of time before his team end their away hoodoo.
The Bulls are one of only two clubs — the other being rock-bottom Darlington — who have yet to win a match on their travels in League Two this season.
United have now gone eight league games without an away victory but came close with a 0-0 draw last Saturday against a Barnet side protecting an unbeaten record at Underhill.
The Edgar Street outfit will be hoping for success at the ninth time of asking when they make the trip to Burton Albion tomorrow.
“We could and should have got a win last Saturday at Barnet, we couldn’t have done much more,” Trewick said.
“It looked to me as if we had a good goal chalked off for offside and a blatant penalty turned down.
“We were the better team for three-quarters of the match.
“But if we can keep up the performances it’s not going to be far away.
“Barnet had won five of their seven home matches and we knew that it would be a tough game if we allowed them to play their game. Credit to the players, they made it difficult for them and we played some good football ourselves.
“We have trained well this week and we are looking forward to the match at Burton.”
Paul Peschisolido’s side have adapted well to life in League Two following promotion from the non-league ranks and have risen to 11th in the table.
However, the Pirelli Stadium side have struggled for goals of late and lost 1-0 at Darlington last Saturday.
Hereford, who have also been drawn against MK Dons in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy southern area semi-final, are hoping full-back Ryan Green will have recovered from a dead leg to feature.
Green suffered the injury at Barnet after starting in a back-three with Darren Jones and Danny Blanchett as Trewick employed a 3-5-2 system.
Burton centre-half Tony James is set to play his first game against his former club since leaving Edgar Street in July 2006 but Droitwich-based defender Andy Corbett is out with an abductor muscle injury.
Defender Paul Boertien and winger Keith Gilroy could both return for Burton after recovering from knee and hamstring injuries respectively.
Trewick added: “We know Tony well, he played at Hereford for quite a while.
“It will be nice to see him but that will be before and after the game.
“Hopefully we can make things a bit uncomfortable for him during the game.”
