WORCESTERSHIRE have reduced their club membership package for the 2010 season.
The club membership package, which covers all matches except home Friends Provident Twenty20 Cup group games, will cost just £129 if purchased before January 31, 2010, compared to £140 last year.
While the Premium membership package, which includes home Twenty20 group games, has increased, it has only gone up from £175 to £179 if bought before the end of January.
Club membership prices will go up to £159 from February 1, 2010, compared to £160 last year, while the Premium package will increase to £199, which again is only £4 more than in 2009.
The New Road outfit have struck a good balance for next year’s membership prices with a lot more games being played on Friday nights, Sundays and bank holiday Mondays compared to last summer where there was very little home weekend cricket.
Worcestershire have also included the England Lions matches into their membership packages.
“We feel we have got the right balance,” County chief executive Mark Newton said. “The membership prices went live yesterday morning at 11am and by 11.30am one person had already renewed their Gold executive package.”
Membership for juniors, under 17 on September 30, 2010, are £25, while students aged between 17 and 19 can get premium packages for £69 and £79 respectively and club packages for £49 and £69.
Membership benefits consist of all home Championship matches; all home ECB 40 League matches; all home Twenty20 Cup group games (except club members); all home friendlies and second XI games; all tourist matches at New Road; three free Championship or ECB 40 League guest tickets in the group stages; use of members’ facilities; reserved seating areas (except Twenty20 games); one ‘Kids Go Free’ pass for each adult member, half-price admission to Worcester Races; free admission to all Gloucestershire home Cham-pionship matches except against Worcestershire (except club members).
