HIMBLETON ‘C’ were replaced at the top of the Worcester Table Tennis League Division Two table by YMCA Kites after losing 7-3 to them.
Kites followed up that crucial victory with an impressive 9-1 defeat of YMCA Enigma.
David Williams inspired Kites against Himbleton by winning his three singles and the doubles with Ray Griffiths.
Beryl Shammon added two singles wins and Griffiths one. For Himbleton, Malcolm Parker beat Shammon and, along with Pete Rogers, accounted for Griffiths.
John Cawthra won Enigma’s only game against Kites as Williams and Griffiths were unbeaten and also combined in the doubles.
Strensham, represented by the Davies family of father Roger and sons Paul and Mark, convincingly beat Love City Groove 9-1.
