STOURPORT Swifts manager Neil Hunt has challenged his players to record their third home win of the season and assert their authority in Zamaretto League Division One Midlands.

The Walshes Meadow club are 10th in the table and just four points shy of the play-off positions.

However, Tuesday’s 2-2 draw at Marlow was their first point since edging Aylesbury United 5-4 on October 10 and boss Hunt wants them to build on that against AFC Sudbury on Saturday (3pm).

He said: “We were disappointed with the first-half at Marlow. We played very well in the second period and deserved to win the game but didn’t take our chances.

“We created seven or eight good chances but the time to worry is when you are not creating opportunities.

“It’s important we bounce back to try and get points on the board and stay in touch with the middle of the table until Christmas. Then we can see what the situation is and if we can make a push for the play-offs.”

Striker Scott Morris is a doubt through illness and midfielder Nathan Jukes serves a one-match ban for five bookings.

Forward Wes Joyce is suspended until the end of November for a Sunday league red card.
