MALVERN director of rugby Dave Robins has warned his side they have a mountain to climb when they travel to National Three Midlands leaders Ampthill tomorrow (2.15pm).

The Spring Lane side go to Bedfordshire to face an outfit who have lost only once in nine games this season and are seven points clear of second-placed Hinckley.

Robins was buoyed by his side’s performance in their 38-22 reverse against Luton on Saturday.

Robins admitted: “Games don’t get much tougher than tomorrow. To play them away is a very big mountain to climb, but we will give it our best shot.

“The second-half against Luton showed we were quite capable of playing the best in this division.”
