EVESHAM travelled to newly-promoted Rugby Welsh in Midlands Four West (South) to play their hosts for the first time — and came away with a crushing 11-try 67-0 victory.
Three tries in the first 15 minutes by Evesham broke the home team’s resolve.
Liam Green, skipper Jamie Cameron and man-of-the-match Jason Smith constantly turned over quality ball for experienced half-backs Mo Parkinson and Chris Evis to release their speedy back-line. The front row of Kerran Lippet, Henry Webb and Jon Hopkins gave their opposite numbers a torrid time in the set-piece.
The support play and handling from Evesham was of the highest quality.
The Evesham scorers were Matt Grove (3) Ben Holme, Mike Diston, Andy Robinson (all 2) Richard Moger and Webb. Diston also added six conversions.
