WARNDON Villages Rhinos Under Nines triumphed 1-0 at Worcester Colts in a mid-table Stourport Youth League clash.
Will Barnes struck just after half-time with his 11th goal of the season to earn Rhinos victory over Colts.
Both teams created opportunities in the first-half but George Cafferkey and Finley Stanley performed heroically in defence.
Colts hit the bar from the edge of the box, while Daniel Payne and Barnes went close at the other end.
Barnes scored the only goal in the second period from Jonathan Burman’s pass.
Goalkeeper Sean Dayus was player-of-the-match as he made some fine saves to seal the three points. Charlie Roberts defended well.
Nunnery Wood Scorpions kept up their title challenge, winning 2-0 at Warndon Villages Rhinos the previous week. Alex Hunt and Harry Cotterill scored the goals.
