YOUNGSTERS will be taking part in a football coaching session next month as part of the Kick It Out anti-racism campaign.
Around 40 children will participate in the one-hour course ahead of Worcester City’s league match against Welling at St George’s Lane next Saturday. They will be coached by representatives from Worcester City Council and Birmingham City as well as Worcester players from 1pm until 2pm before leading the teams out with anti-racism banners.
A penalty shoot-out will also take place at half-time as part of the event organised by the club’s supporters’ trust.
The day is free to children who attended the half-term coaching at Perdiswell Leisure Centre and £5 to anyone else.
Everyone will receive a free anti-racism t-shirt and the children will be able to watch the match from block ‘D’ in the main stand.
For details or a booking form, call supporters’ trust community officer Sue Bentley on 07789-408180 or s.bentley@worc.ac.uk.
