KIDDERMINSTER Harriers’ early exit from the FA Cup could have a knock-on effect by January.
The Aggborough club made around £150,000 for reaching the third round against Coventry City last season and were able to sign the likes of Chris McPhee in te transfer window.
However, Tuesday’s 3-1 fourth qualifying round defeat at Fleetwood Town means the financial outlook is very different this time around.
Harriers chairman Barry Norgrove said: “We always hope we can go as far as we can in the cup because financially it’s a good money-spinner for us. If we had gone a long way in the cup it helps the manager in January.
“It’s a shame, but we have to cut our cloth to suit.”
