EVESHAM obtained their first BodyKraft Men’s Hockey League West Midlands Premier Division win of the season, beating West Bromwich 4-2.
A new-look home midfield, led by Seb Seneque, took control and Ben Brown finished off a sharp passing move.
West Brom broke away to level inside 10 minutes but Evesham went back ahead through captain Stu Harris.
Stuart Bearcroft and Mark Brown strikes sandwiched an effort from the visitors in the second period.
Meanwhile, Pershore fell to their first West Midlands Division Two defeat of the season, losing 5-3 to title rivals Kingswinford.
The hosts went three goals down in the first period, including two short corners.
In an improved second-half display, Toby Whiting, Jamie Hughes and Rob Smith pulled goals back but their visitors added two more.
In other men's games, Droitwich Seconds let a lead slip in a 2-2 draw at Berkswell and Balsall Common in West Midlands Division One.
Pete Best converted a penalty flick to put Spa ahead and Barry Williams added a second but Berkswell netted twice to draw level. Defender Ade Clifton was the Droitwich player-of-the-match.
Pershore Women beat Tenbury Seconds 2-0 in Worcestershire League Division Two.
Emma Gardner hammered in the opener as Pershore’s midfield dominated.
With 15 minutes left, Gardner’s short-corner strike was deflected home.
